Some times you know....

I just wish filmmaking wasn't so business oriented, I'm not being Naive or anything but reading an article like this makes me kinda angry at the lack of true love for the art. I know I know, I've heard this a million times, filmmaking is a business blah blah blah, but reading this article really makes me see another perspective we all kinda knew existed, but this really breaks it down to the "T"

But I guess the money has to come from somewhere, I just wish more focus was on the actual art... now let me go hug a tree:grin:

Basically the article is about how funding is set up for indie filmmaking and so on... great read.

One of the early economists observed "A man can be neither a lover, nor a poet, nor a philosopher, lest a some time in the recent past he has had something to eat. " While it is good to work for the love of the art, unless one is already wealthy or living with one's partents, that art must also generate an income in order to stay fed and able to produce more art.
