If I use Burn DVD option from Vegas, what is the max amount of time I can use to fit on a DVD. I assume 1 hour, but maybe a little more? Lets say I have 1 hour and 20 minutes, is there a way like in TMPG to compress the footage down a bit to fit on the DVD.
Also, when using Vegas Burn DVD, can I add points or chapters in there so when I use my TV DVD player remote, I can go back or forward to different parts.

And last, and I know there are article, but always looking for something new. I want a program that offers easy DVD creation, but at max quality. I want the program to offer a way to compress footage that might be a little bit over an hour to fit on the DVD.
When you import footage to a DVD creating program, do you export your footage to uncompressed avi, or how do you make your mpeg2. Through vegas.

Thanks for your help.

There's about 36,800 megabits on a whole DVD-R. At 80 minutes you are looking at about 7.5 mbps
average bitrate with a 0.256 AC-3 track. The internal Vegas encoder is fine down to 6 mbps average/variable
bitrate if you let it do two-pass.

If you need to cram 100 or 120 minutes on a disk you should look at the Cineform Cinemacraft Basic encoder.
It is noticably better at the 4 and 5 mbps average video bitrate than the Vegas internal codec.
