Some recent pictures from the last couple of weeks. Shooting a lot more than usual lately. (CS3 helps a lot with that)

The shots from Antelope Valley are from just two days ago when me and some friends from my high school photo class headed out there- it's pretty surreal looking- poppies as far as the eye can see.

All photos were show raw (.NEF)

Comments/ Critique appreciated

I like the first shot of the car and the poppies, but I sorta feel like you went a bit too far on post processing these. I would have liked the car, but the vignetting on it is just a bit too much for me. It especially shows in the Mount Carmel photo though, all of the old paper texture in the sky distracts from the subject. I find myself looking at the texture itself rather than the thing it's trying to enhance.

I also feel like the first flower in the poppies shot should be in focus, not the flowers in the back.

Not to downplay RyanT, his points are valid but in spite of this, I have to say I like most of these shots composition and subject. Keep experimenting man:)

Thanks for the comments guys. I agree that I went a little post crazy this isn't normally my style. I have always been tying to figure out a grungy/ old film look for my pictures and these are the start of my experimenting.
