Some DVD burning Q's

a. If I were to have a 1:2.35 project and I was burning an SD DVD... is there a way to lower the compression to rhe 8000 (kbps?) mark that is recommended for DVD players out there?

I am just wondering how to get the best out of it.... or will Vegas do it all automatically?

(Sorry if this one sounds a bit confusing)

b. How can I make sure my project looks good on 4:3 TVs and 16:9 TVs automatically? Do I burn a 16:9 and only keep in mind that cropping will occur by itself on the TV?

a) The cropping doesn't matter as much as the length, though you'll gain a little benefit by having the black bars in the picture -- less information per frame.

b) Just burn a 16:9 version. The player will take care of the rest.
