Hello all,

i am new to this great forum so i suppose i need to introduce myself. My name is John, i am a professional photographer, have been for the past 18 years. I started with digital photography back in 1994.
With a Scitex Leaf 6 mega pixel digital back on a Mamiya RB 6x7 which at that time cost mega bucks LOL. My first "portable" digital camera was the canon D60 (not the 60D:grin:).
But now these things shoot video too. I like new challenges and moving images sure require a different approach. But it i love the dynamics.

Just for the heck of it I made a skater dolly, which was inspired by the design of Noflux here on dvxuser.

Here is some video i shot with it ( once again very short) i will put some pics of the skater on tomorrow. Be gentle. I am a stills guy and not a seasoned video pro. :)

Great forum and thanks for the inspiration.

Welcome! Nicely done. Definitely shows a photographer's eye. Nicely cut too. Will keep an eye on your stuff on Vimeo.

Hello Keylight,

Thanks for the welcome and the compliment. :)

As promised a few pics of the skater.

I made it out of: 12 mm MDF, the axles are some 15 mm steel tubing (20 cm long) with brass end caps to
accomodate the wheels.
