i'm Giu from Italy. I've ordered the new sgblade for my pana dvx100b, so I want to buy the necessary things to set up my camera properly. What are your advice? what do I need? (I've ordered also a nikon lens from ebay)
I don't' want to spend too much money, just the necessary. Do I need a shoulder support? and a follow focus? i was just thinking of taking them from redrock, what do you think?are them good?
I was also thinking to buy a lcd monitor, i don't' know if the manhattan or the smallhd, but i don't' know if it is really necessary for the beginning...is the manhattan lighter than smallhd (manhattan with the Tekkeon battery VS smallhd with the supplied special battery)??and also, if i take the mahatan, do i take it with the takkeon or with panasonic battery mounting plate? which is heavier?

So for the redrock follow focus the site asks to me the diameter of the lens..which is the pitch to order for my lenses? i've not buyed them so I can't' misure it anymore! for respectively:
-nikon 50mm ai 1.4
-nikon 24mm ai 2.0
- nikon 85mm ai 2.0
could you tell me the right misure to order to redrock?

) and will get the rail system that they sell. I'm goin to get a cavision shoulder mount and do some customizing to it. U may not need a shoulder mount...i;ve see people just pad the rails and prop it on their shoulder. Get the rails though....cuz that will keep the stress off the front threads of the camera. U dont Need a follow foucs but one is recommended. Also i dont think u need an external monitor since ur shooting dv and focus is not as critical as HD...BUT i would try and get one. I wanna get a manhatten one if i get the chance cuz that will follow me when i decide to go HD.
