Soldering Alternatives

I need to hold together the wires out of the battery box and vibrating motor. I have read to solder the wires but i don't have the tools to do that. I am thinking of twirling the two wires together then supergluing them to hold in place. Would the electricity still go through? Thanks

Skip the superglue, it might interfere with the connection. Just twist the ends together tightly, bend them to align flat with the wires, then wrap the area with electrical tape, gaff tape or whatver you might have on hand. When you get to a place where you have the equipment to solder it then do so, or better, make a full repair or replacement of the parts.

Id pick up a soldering iron at your local electronic parts shop. A cheap one generally runs $10-15. I bought one to build my diy projects. It'll come in handy in the future, I'm sure.

You just need to wait a while for the cheap ones to warm up, and it takes a while to get the wires hot.. but a properly soldered joint is well worth it.

Dude - definitely get a soldering iron. If you just can't, an old screwdriver heated on the stove will get the job done.

If you're gonna go the twist route, use a little heatshrink to help hold it together. crimp type connectors will be way too bulky.

don't superglue, but hot glue gun will work. i actually did that once when I didn't have soldering iron.

if you can't or don't trust soldering, definitely do the hot glue gun. i did it, and it worked, but eventually went to soldering and hot glue to keep it together nice and secure.

one word: Radio Shack.

Had to solder two different brands of adaptors on set. Embarrassing, costly but the Shack saved my ass.
