Solar Flare/Light Flare effect?

How can I create that light flickering flare effect in AE?
Any suggestions is widely appreciated.

if you mean the ones in the beginning, that's easy. You can create an element in photoshop, or you could probably use the ramp effect set to cirular, add blur, and then use as in Screen mode, Overlay mode, or even soft light mode, depending on how you want it to brithen and darken.

This is double DV NTSC size, so you can scale down if needed. Just put this in Add or Screen blending modes, or, use any other belnding mode AFTER apply Knoll Unmult (free plugin) on it.
