Softie Mount & Shockmount

i've got one of those rycote mount's, they're fantastic.
i normally have a sennheiser 416 inside it, and my reporter or producer holds it.
but there is great shock isolation built into the mount.
if you look closely at the picture on the link you supplied you can see the upper rear section is a big thick rubber shock absorber, it really works well

Crap.. Due to some restrictions to the payment methods, I can't order at B&H. They don't accept PayPal payments from the Netherlands and I don't have a credit card (like many non-Americans).

Does anybody know another cheap and reliable online-shop?

Hehe Oleg, we have other types of payment here in Europe. Also credit-card like cards and we never have to go to a cash machine. It's just called different and not the same as the US credit card standards.

I've just ordered a credit card though, since I can't get around it I'm afraid. Importing this type of gear is a whole lot cheaper than buying it from a vender around here. It's just too bad that it takes so long before I get my equipment now. I was planning to use my mic this holliday.

Sounds like you may have spoken to someone who didnt bother to mention any alternatives. You certainly dont need a credit card.
You should be able to send a bank check or wire funds directly if you set up the purchase by phone in advance. They give you an order number, you put it on the bank check or money wire form. If you pay by wire, they will also give you their account number/city code to reference.
Been there, done that, works like a champ.

btw---credit cards are designed to get you in debt and keep you there. Thats how they make the bulk of their profits---high interest. That is also why they are easy to get, they up your credit limit without you requesting it and why they send you seasonal checks to use, telling you to treat yourself or go on a vacation, etc. They are fine for emergencies, plane tickets or car rentals but otherwise you're far better off without it.

Thanks GCO, I know credit cards can get you in debt, but I only plan to use it to buy specific stuff when I really don't have an alternative payment method, or as you already said, in emergencies.

I indeed haven't heard of this type of payment at B&H, but I'll just do it the credit card way. I appreciate your feedback!
