One of these solutions might tide you over or you can wait just a bit longer for ours.
One of the reasons we're running a bit late on getting the LED 600 and other things back in stock here in the USA, is we're waiting on our LED 600 24 x 24 inch softbox and speedring to be produced right now.
I have to say I'm very proud of how this turned out and it will be very popular for the LED 600 because, not just for its ability to soften up the LED 600 but also its quick setup. This is a softbox type you probably haven't seen before and it really goes together quick. I haven't put it up on the site yet or officially announced it but will soon. Should be available when the LED 600 is back in stock. Will also have all the other features you've come to expect from a Cool Lights softbox as standard like fabric eggcrates.
We'll also have a version of this softbox available for our CL-SFT1 / 200w fluorescent softbox for those wanting a quicker setup ability.
One other option I'm thinking about for the future is a 24 x 48 inch (or larger) softbox to mount on our LED H BAR option where you have two LED 600s mounted on the same light stand. That could also be a very popular accessory but it wouldn't be the same quick setup type as we can't really make those any larger than 24 x 24.
Richard, is the LED300 still on track for a September release? I see that you'll be offering Panasonic, Canon or Sony battery plate for it, do you think that can be an option for the 600 as well?
Those batteries simply wouldn't last long at a 50w drain of power from the LED 600. I don't have a plan to make those battery plates available on the LED 600 since we have the other camcorder types v and ab and the 4pin XLR too allows you to attach just about anything like the Bescor lead acid battery belts or whatever--and all those are really reasonable too. Sure the V or AB types are more expensive but you get greater portability with them.
A Sony NP-F970 for example would power the 25w LED 256 for about 2 hours and 15m (6600mah) but you'd get a little over an hour with the LED 600. Doesn't really seem worth it.
All the new items will be end of September or beginning of October depending upon when we get them all done and the normal shipping time to the USA.
