Softbank D1 vs. D4

Hi All...

In reading through this forum I found some talk about the D4, but I was actually looking into getting the D1. I'm just gearing up to make some documentaries that will be a lot of indoor shooting w/ interviews.

It looks like the difference is about $300. And it looks like what you get is an extra 150 with all the bits that come with it.

It seems like I could pick up a 150, stand, etc for a little over $300 down the road if needed.

Any people have experience with the D1 that would say it's all they need?

Thank you in advance for any advice.

Well I would say the D4 that is beacuse that is my every day kit. I love that kit and use it on everything. Haveing that extra 150W makes a big difference. Now If I could go back and the Next full kit I would buy (I have bought some Kino Flo's and HMI's) Woiuld buy the D5. It comes with the 650W 300W 2 150W and a 1K. That would be worth the extra money. It is about $600 or something more. But that 1K makes a big difference. Specialy doing Doc work. There is a lot of times you are in a dark invorment and you need that big light. So toss it around. Call Able see what kind of DVXuser price you can get and go from there.

Able Cine Store. They have a DVXuser discount set up so you can get some pricing off. I don't know how much but give them a call it cant hurt.
