Soft lighting to compliment litepanels micropro

Hey,

I bought my first light a few months ago, a litepanels micropro on camera light.

I really like it and feel it's already come in use. I decided to get it over, say, a chinese equivalent, as I wanted something of decent quality, the kind that could stand in a real light kit and not be out of place b/c it was a wildly different colour temperature or whatever.

After having dipped my toe in I'm now looking at getting a second light. I'm looking for some soft lighting, the kind that might have been used on the first shot of Ray Charles. here for example - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vL8ELGoigs.

I'm looking at softboxes, led lights and florescents etc. I'm not super knowledgeable but I can hold my own. I've used kino flo lights a bit and they're cool but huge and expensive. I'm looking for something well priced basically. I'm tempted by a chinese knock off softbox due to the price but I'm flexible on quality.

I'm also checking out the cool lights 600 led panel and the softbox accessory there.

Really though I'm not experienced enough in lighting to know what I'm paying over the odds and when I'm getting good lasting value.

I've been renting to date and will continue to do so to a degree, but naturally it all adds up everytime and I'm looking to make a choice purchase.

Cheers.
