I'm brand new to videography. I watch a lot of videos made by various folks and I notice that on many videos, whenever a subject moves a bit, there is a lag in the focus. The lag is tiny, mere nanoseconds perhaps...not very noticeable unless one looks for it.
So my questions:
1) is "soft focus" (when not necessarily intended) OK and do you always need to have super-sharp focus?
2) Whenever you have frames where the focus is not tack-sharp, and these frames neither bring something more or detract to the video, do you re-shoot or tend to let it go?
