So you're all by yourself and..

you find yourself wanting to make a video, perhaps something profound..
Ideas seem to escape me, and I'm left holding my camera doing nothing...

how do you tackle your challenges of non-creation?

This works for me.

Plan a day that you will get up really early and do nothing but shoot stuff(with a camera).

It doesn't have to be profound. Telling yourself that its just test footage and location scouting helps.

Anyway, make a list of all the little shots that you could get here and there.

Pack everything up and get it ready to roll out the door.

Then... the night before the shoot... go out and celebrate your new-found motivation at your local bar with your friends(granted that you're old enough and that's your thing). Get TOTALLY hammered, feeling the inspiration grow with every shot.

Then go home and pass out.

Wake up hungover at 2pm, feeling like compressed manure and confident that there is no way in hell any shooting will happen on this day.

The guilt you will feel at accomplishing nothing should get the juices flowing.

If that doesn't work, smash something.:badputer:

I got hammered last night, didn't get shizzit for inspiration though :(

Hangover is in full effect however. Damn i hate workin hungover.
