so who else had a bad day?

I was halfway through the turn when I had to slam on the brake, so when the wheel came off the ground, the whole bike was at about a 45 deg angle. When it landed, it landed on the left side footpeg and pushed the bracket into the bike, grinding up against the drive belt pulley... and it smashed a bunch of other stuff, like the mirror, scraped up the swing arm, bent the handlebar, a bunch of scratches, etc.

Pain is getting better, but it still there, he he

Here is a few pics:

Dang looks bad glad you are still with us and have high spirits.

I got lucky few months back my car was totaled on interstate 70 and I walked away with no scratches. The driver that hit me said he was talking on his cell phone to his girl friend.....oh and he was uninsured.

This was the aftermath of my car. Driving on highways still kind of freaks me out now.

he he he, thanks Tom,

Sad Max, I'm not really sure why either, I mean, a lot worse accidents happen daily, I guess they needed something to fill the page, he he.

I just got a text from a friend telling me there are easier ways to get into the paper, so I went and got it, and wham, there I was.

Triplej96, also glad you came out ok, in South Africa it is actually illegal to talk or operate your cellphone while driving without the use of a hands-free kit. which I think is for the better, a cellphone can easily distract you as your photo proves :-) (about the other driver)

Josh, I'm glad you're ok!

As of July 1st, it's now illegal to drive while talking on a cellphone in Los Angeles without a hands-free kit. I still see people doing it, but hopefully they don't do it as much. It's funny, there seems to be a loophole in the law that allows people to send a text message (!!!) while driving. Can you believe that?

Hands-free doesn't address the fundamental problem: having a live conversation with another person on the phone, is a significant distraction and safety hazard, whether you are holding the phone in your hand, or not. The new law is a magnificent exercise in missing the point and failing to address the real threat.

Weirdly enough we acknowledge this problem when it comes to younger drivers, who are banned from using even hands-free devices. Why people assume that the distraction suddenly goes away as if by magic when a driver ages by a year or two, is tough to figure.

yeah, they probably figure that your eyes stay on the road when you have a hands-free, but concentrating on a live conversation takes your attention away from driving, so I suppose you are right.

I have been hit while riding a Bicycle, and ill tell you that its no fun atall. Defiantly ruined my day.

It is pretty much illegal everywhere in the States I believe, yet people still do it. And texting too. In New Jersey, they were trying to ban smoking in your car.
