So whatever happened to the Ikegami 4/3 camera?

I remember brief and scant mention back in April, but haven't heard anything since. Anybody know? Or would it even matter at this point?

It's still alive. It will be shown at the 2011 Ikegami HD World Exhibit in New York City, October 12th and 13th.

Responding to the increasing use of digital HD imaging for the production of theatrical movies and episodic TV, Ikegami will display the HDS-F90 4/3-inch optical format tapeless camcorder. Based on Ikegamis popular GFCAM, the HDS-F90 employs a 4K CMOS sensor with Bayer filter for high-resolution motion-image capture and excellent horizontal and vertical MTF (modulation transfer function, a measure of picture sharpness) with over-sampling in the green channel and 24p/25p/30p native recording. The HDS-F90 uses same media as GFCAM. The camera is designed to accept large format PL-Mount lenses for film-style high-aperture, shallow depth-of-focus cinematography.
