So, what would you think of this??????

Over the past 6 months, I have made some amazing contacts in the Firearms Manufacturing and dealer market. Tonight, I receive a personal email asking if I was interested in a CA legal (semi-auto) version of this:
SG43Second.jpg

And the price is GOOD!!!!!! In the near budget. Reputable dealer I have dealt with in the past. Now mind you, this will never go on set without heavy modification, if ever at all, but........WOW!!!!! A vintage Russian SG43 Goryunov 7.62x43. I see it on the 22nd of this month.

If anything, I will have a "plaything" to actually go up to the range and shoot again. I miss going out and shooting, I used to be an avid marksman, but the money was not available for me to continue......

Edit: Major typo.......7.62x 53 not 43, that's it, I fire myself.

Shooting with one of them, you don't need to be much of a marksman...

Seriously, sounds a great excuse to make a small military drama, e.g. a few soldiers at an isolated outpost. It wouldn't need to be Soviet WW2 - equipment like that ended up in a lot of countries' armies (and mercenary forces) post-WW2. Hmm, perhaps there's an idea for the next DVXuser script competition? :)

I have a submission, already ready, well maybe a third ready..............."Dust-Off", okay, just 35 pages.

Hey, I live in So Cal. Everyone here is required to at least have some kind of a script. But for mine, I have already made contacts for filming. Up at a military base for that "authentic" look. Full-on firefight. Gotta go with what you know, ya know?

I was talking to a friend about writing my script, and he asked "Will it be a military flick?" My response, "Nah, I am writing a love movie about a girl who has lost her dog after breaking up with her high school sweetheart. Of course it will be military! What the heck do you think I do on set???!!??"

LOL!!!!!!!!!

I'm thinking if one to partake in the M substance, "That would make one hell of a Bong."
Imagine 'that' in your living room.

Or one hell of a Spud Gun.

^ Joking ofcourse.

If you do get it and are considering repainting it, please before you do that,
take a number of reference photo's and maybe a few measurements for us 3D guys
should we ever need to model/replicate it.
Those refs would also be good for miniature modelers also I would think.

Other than that I'm thinking you'll need a warehouse soon, if you don't have already, to store all of this stuff.

Repaint it? And destroy that "look"???? Not a chance! If I decide to get it, it will just be gently cleaned.

Let me know on the 3D stuff, I have access to a bunch of blueprints and measurements of weapons. But I can only answer specific questions, not send copies of the prints out, unless I draw them (which I have a few of those too)

Went and shot it today, along with a couple other toys...........OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shot me a .50 cal sniper rifle too!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry about the crappy quality video. Casio Exilim still cam with video function, coupled with Youtube compression.
