Meh. The first one wasn't so bad if you expected no more from it than you got from the cartoon. And I'm not sure why any expectations should have been higher than that.

It does look a lot better than the first one simply from the trailer alone.

I ended up seeing the first one in a theater because we needed to take my girlfriend's little brother out. It worked well for that situation since they were in the correct demographic. Transformers also has a demographic that I'm not in, and I'm okay with that.

Now you know why the film was at least acceptable, and knowing is half the battle.
