So this is what Cameron has been up to.....DAMN

I don't get what all this negativity and saracasm is about...

I am seriously interested in seeing both the technology and the movies and I appreciate the fact that Jim keeps pushing the industry forward and deeply respect him for it.

To be perfectly honest... I didn't like the idea when I heard it a year ago... and I don't like it now.

...but we'll see.

I'm not interested in another Terminator. I'm stoked over Cameron's new endeavours. He always makes something incredible IMO.

Yes, I wish they would just get Battle Angel made. I'm dying to see how he would translate that to film.

James Cameron loves his technology. But for the most part, he delivers when he pushes the envelope. So if he's coming up with some revolutionary digital filmmaking technique then I'd have to say it's even money that he'll pull it off.

Now if it was something being developed by the Wachowski Bros and their digital effects charlatan John Gaeta then I would have more doubts. Just had to take a swipe at them. I'm still bitter over the insane amounts of hype and then ridiculous disappointment in the "Burly Brawl".

Now back to Cameron. You gotta give it up to the man though. He isn't just a filmmaker. He's an adventurer. How many other directors would actually get in a submersable and go down to the Titanic to get some footage? I wouldn't be surprised if he found a way to put a camera on Mars to make a Mars movie. Or heck, he would probably start his own space program so he could get there in person.

So maybe Cameron and Burt Rutan should get together. Instead of sending celebrities into orbit, let's get James Cameron to Mars so he can finally give us a decent Mars film.
