So, tell me if you think a DVX100B is ideal for what I want...

I'm starting a network of gaming sites and one unique feature which we want to impliment is having video reviews which will stream on the sites. We want to make it appear very professional, even better than the streaming video that appears on the right side of www.gamespot.com

I plan on getting a 4 point lighting system along with a green screen.

I saw some videos done with DVX's in the clip / footage forum and I was simply blown away, a lot of the videos look comparable to major film productions.

I'm sure it's "ideal" and possibly overkill, but I was just wondering what the general consensus might be.

Also, the learning curve? If I learned quickly and worked at it full days, how long might it take to be able to create films which have a very professional appearence / quality? I'm sure theoretically I could do it within a day, but you know what I mean :) How long does the average beginner take to make something appear professionally done quality-wise.

Thanks!

yeap your on the right track. im sure you can get the professionalism w/ other cams; but if you insist on the dvx then go for it. basically set up your lighting, shoot, edit. pretty straight forward. shouldn't take you any longer than a couple of hours. another thing is *audio*. just as impt. if you want to come off as a professinal. maybe a few wireless lavs or something.

What is a good wireless lav?
