The dollar seems to be rising "a bit" out in exchange land......Hmmmm..

Has anyone noticed any price drops from our Euro-brothers???

Baker would like to spend some hard earned greenery but he's thinking hhhmmm.......

What type of gear are you looking to trade in that hard-earned greenery for? :0)
There's been a few industry price drops recently, but I don't know of any that are exclusive to Europe, persay. If you do any green screen work, Reflecmedia just dropped prices substantially. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDh2L3wzugk to see it in action, and
http://www.dvcreators.net/reflecmedia-green-and-blue-screen-chromakey/ to read more about it. I hope you're right about the Dollar, we sure need some good news in that area!

I watch the Euro daily, its been way down. Today was $1.27 to the Euro, the lowest its been in quite a while.

When rates were headed the opposite direction several companies boosted their prices out of proportion to the exchange rate. (one mic company especially). I would like a little pressure from all of us as these rates level back out and we take our money to the store.

I am curious how the Euro contingent feels about this as I understand they pay high prices in general for many items that we seem to get for less. Is it taxes or just marketing strategy?

what goes up never go down - just buy in europe

Wow, the pound is down to $1.56 this morning. When I went to Scotland last year, it was $2.27. If this keeps up, I may actually be able to afford to go back and visit the U.K. again ;-)

Is the UK now the only European country who uses their own currency as well?

No.

Russia has it's own currency, as do Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia (though Slovakia gets the €uro in January), Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, etc...............
