So B&H sells the Letus now!

Yeah, I have had a couple people asking about that because of the ship time they list. Philip Bloom said this over in the LetusDirect forums...

"B & H photo always puts 7-14 days for special ordered items. It doesn't change item by item. It means nothing. In fact something I ordered from them with this lead time took three months to come into stock before I got it!!"

Just a heads up as I had one customer cancel his order thinking B&H would be faster. Consequently he lost is place in line and is now stuck because B&H won't let you cancel (or let you return or provide a warranty as far as I know).

Not knocking B&H. They are awesome. I order from them all of the time. Just a word of warning on their estimated ship date.

Even if it was instant I rather wait 3 weeks due to the price of 1200.00 and a free braket. B and h also charges taxes which realy takes it up there. Pluss nothing really beats factory direct. You deal with the real people strait. I had many problems with B and H cutomer service and warentee that I just go there to feel the items up and buy them on other trusted authorized website stores for alot cheaper. I only buy there is its a must to get it fast. Leus customer service is top noch. They must get billions of emails yet they respond to my questions in less then 24 hrs which is extreemly rare. Can't wait to get it. less then 3 weeks to go.

Eh, just a clarification here, B&H only charges tax to NY customers. I have never been charged tax on my orders.

B&H puts in the time frame promised to us by our suppliers and modifies that if the supplier's promises are consistently over optimistic.

And, they do not all say 7-14 days. For example, our page for the Fujinon T16X5.5DA-D58 16x Zoom Video Lens says, "Est. arrival at B&H 2-4 weeks (subject to availability)." Just one example.

Our policy is no cancellations on special order items and we make that clear before you place your order. The web page for each Letus35 item specifies, "This is a special order item and is non-cancelable or returnable ... You will be charged upon placing your order." We try to make sure everyone knows what is what up front. If we're authorized retailers, you have a warranty from the manufacturer in addition the all the applicable provisions of our return policy. If you receive a defective item, we would certainly do everything possible to rectify the matter as quickly as possible.

Thanks.

B and h also charges taxes
Only if you buy in our Manhattan store or if your ship-to address is within New York state.

Letus works closely with B&H and want to assure you all that B&H has priority on our stock. We always have reserve for B&H. You have improved Extreme due to B&H requirements. 7-14 days is correct as it is. We will notify B&H if we have problem fulfilling the orders, but so far, so good.

Thanks,

Hien

"...B&H priority on our stock" ...?

Hienle is Letus. He producing the Extreme, he's the designer, but he's also dealer.

Aaron Degrey, Letusdirect, is dealer from the beginning.

And now the're B&H, and they have priority on stock?

It's a liitle bit confusing...

Arno

Not really. Hien is saying that they are committed to fulfilling B&H orders as rapidly as possible. B&H is a very high priority for them.

We worked with B&H before the Extreme came out. Our rep in NY worked closely with B&H to come up with the specs for the Extreme. We did not put them in front of you in the line. They just was always in front of the line from beginning :). That's what I meant. Don't worry about it.

Barry, how can you read my mind? :)

Thanks

Hien
