Snoot and blackwrap

I am getting lighting accessories for a series of interview style videos. I am using a 3-piece Arri lighting kit with a white board for the fill.

1.) Is there any reason for this type of shoot that I might use a snoot? What is an example for when you might want to use a snoot?

2.) Is there a need for blackwrap since I have barndoors to control the light?

Snoot helps you isolate your light even more than barndoors. Unless you've worked with one, I'd maybe look at renting a few to see which you like best. They come in different sizes and therefore offer different ways to cut your light.

On to blackwrap, you can very easily build a snoot out of blackwrap by just wrapping the blackwrap into a circle around the light. Very flexible. Why use it when you have barndoors? Light leaks and extending the reach of your barndoors are the two most used. There are tons of uses for blackwrap and it's very much reusable so the initial cost even though it's considered an "expendible" is pretty much a moot issue.
