smoothing out timelapse

I shot some timelapse that I need to smooth out. Basically the camera shifts very slightly from frame to frame a few times. The movement is very slight but yet noticeable. I tried using FCP camera stabilizer filter but that just seemed to make the problem worse. Not sure if I am just doing something wrong or what... anyway. i was wondering if AE could fix this problem? if so would the demo version of ae 6 be sufficient?

I'm sorry i know nothing about after effects except that is better at this stuff then FCP.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advanced. I apologize if this seems like a stupid question.

Yeah AE will give you perfect results for this. I can't remember how good the tracking options were in version 6 though. But hey, why not just download the 7 or CS3 demo?

Just make sure you do the Stabilize Tracking instead of Motion Tracking and track both position and rotation.

Good luck!

thanks ferdi,

It seems like I just keep bumping into you everywhere. as for downloading cs3 or 7, the problem is i am in a chinese hotel with slow internet. i'm not even sure why i have 6.5, but i do.
