'lo all, first off I'm as green as it gets when it comes to video, although I've been a semi-professional photographer for a few years.
Long story short I'm currently using a Sony HDR-HD3 (borrowed from the school, i'm looking to buy a GL1 soon) and every time I go to zoom in, i'm plauged buy this little nub of a zoom control. Does anyone out there have a hack/DIY/etc that would let me have a smooth zoom insead of the semi-jerky motion i get whenever I try to zoom with this nub? I was thinking of something like a lever attached to some sort of friction creating device that would increase the force neccessary to move the nub. any sort of advice or suggestions are welcome of course.
Thanks,
Brandon
ps. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, i'm still trying to get the feel of this place
