Yeah, so I just output a 14min 23sec file at 1280x720 as an uncompressed RGB AVI with uncompressed PCM audio. It was a 53.1GB file, and Edius did it in about 15 minutes. I don't know about the rest of you, but that is something I have never experienced before, and I am loving it.

yes sir. eSATA raid 0 @ 620gigs. easily upgradeable to 1.2tb and more expensively to 2tb :) lovin the eSATA setup into my laptop via expresscard

now all I have to do is figure out the best output for posting on the web to get a decent size image with not so tin canny audio. 150mb or less with that lenght file? What do you think is a feasible file size/image and sound quality ratio for a 15 min clip?

WMV HD is quite compact given the quality, and the WM audio codec is quite good.

It takes a long time to compress, so I recommend using short sections to test your settings before tackling the whole 14+ minutes.

Hey Ramjet did you ever find a case big enough for the big fat wonder computer? I"m still carrying mine around under my arm.
 
no. I haven't gotten one yet. but I haven't been going anywhere with it yet. Just carrying it from one room to another when I am done using it for the day.
I did come across a site that said they carried cases to fit the 9805. I think it was like a 100 bucks. I don't know if the site was for real or not though, cause I was just browsing. I'll see if I can find it.

here ya go. this is the one I was thinking of. I had never heard of the company so I'm not too sure. I just checked them out on the better business bureau website though. They show up. They have one complaint filed against them in the last 36 months. It was for a refund or exchange issue. And that one complaint was resolved.

Thanks for sharing that site! Sounds like they'd be good for a personal project of mine... I want to be able to wear my Espresso EPC and/or EZGo-1+ :)

by the way, I am not seeing the wmv hd output setting. It seems like I had seen it...
Is that just through the wizard, choose hi def, then windows media player. It is saying wmv, but I guess that is it, aye?

yeah, it does, I was just thinking that it was a different extension than wmv. But I guess if I am going through the hi definition, windows media route, that is what I am getting right??
One other thing, when I was screwing around with different outputs last night, some of my wmv's were outputting the timecode with the footage. Any idea what setting I might be choosing that is causing that to happen some of the time. I wanna say it was when I was choosing 4:3 as the aspect, but I'm not sure

Yes, the extensions are still the same. The only time you should see timecode out is if you've chosen Print to File (timecode) and not the standard Print to File.
