i really enjoyed this movie, i've been wanting to see this for a while. now that i'm laid up for a couple of days. the nerdy Thomas (Evan Adams)was good, Adam Beach i haven't gotten into his acting but he sure is coming along. the story is very good i thought on all levels;fun, psychological, native zen,two lost souls finding a means to an end.......and a beginning to themselves.........

Was the first feature film directed by a Native American -Chris Eyre.

Adam has come a long way from Winnipeg. Just finished Flags of Our Fathers -he played Ira Hayes. Evan is a solid actor. Eric Schweig is another great actor. And keep your eye on Nathaniel Arcand...all these bro's need are more roles to play instead of the god-awful stereotypes. But try financing an independent film starring any one of these guys...

It was a miracle this film broke through and actually made money. Look at all the 'Native' films made in the last 30+ years -there's always a White protagonist...Dances with Wolves, Thunderheart (Val as a half breed), Little Big Man, and Malick's The New World. I guess in some respect the model works, but I'd love to see more Smoke Signal-type films get made.

There are a few of us who actually believe we can achieve critical and box office success with Native story lines and stars. But of course we're all starving too.

awesome i was wondering if this would get a look see. and i do like eric he needs more opportunities to shine.
