Smelly Rabbit

So I promised one of the actors in a film that I am shooting right now that I would watch his rabbit while he is gone for a few days. He brought him over yesterday evening and everything was cool, but earlier today I started noticing this horrible BO mixed with onions type of smell wafting from the room that hs is in. I tried changing, er. . . my wife tried chaning his litterbox and everything but he still stinks. Man this really sucks. Anybody own male rabbits have any clue as to how to get rid of the smell?

Re: Smelly Rabbit

I don't own a rabbit, but maybe a bath?

Or some febreeze?

Try some insence (nag champa is the best.)

EDIT: Damn, spider got the jump on me.

Re: Smelly Rabbit

interesting, rabbits hate the smell of onions...

The Old Farmer’s Almanac says an onion fence will keep them away.

not sure why it smells like onions...but maybe just for kicks you could bring some onions to it and freak it out for being a smelly little beeeatch!

Re: Smelly Rabbit

Took care of Gyrid's rabbit once. (Cleverly named "Bunny")

Didn't notice a smell...just the little presents he left all over the apartment. And he loved chewing through all my speaker wires.

I think I'd rather have the smell. ;)

Re: Smelly Rabbit

Wash the thing in tomato juice. It's suppose to work for getting skunk-smell out, maybe it works for smelly rabbits too. ;D

Re: Smelly Rabbit

I was going to try the fabreeze method, but then I noticed that it wasn't the rabbit that smells, but his pee. I did some research and it turns out that male rabbits, that aren't neutered sometimes have a little stinky problem when they pee. ???
It's bad enough that I'm thinking I might get him neutered before he gets back. He'll never know! ::)

Re: Smelly Rabbit

That sounds right. I'm not neutered and I have a stinky problem when I pee too. :-[ Also, it burns. Is that normal?

It's the same with me, so I'm going to go ahead and say yes.

Re: Smelly Rabbit

Yeah, he's on the damn box! Give him a bowl of cereal, you cold heartless bastards.

Re: Smelly Rabbit

Have you tried feeding the rabbit onions? If it's going to smell like onions, maybe feeding it onions will trick it. Sort of an animal reverse psychology.

Re: Smelly Rabbit

Just punch him. I think that will fix the smell issue. :D

Re: Smelly Rabbit

Alveraz ;D I agree.

It's amazing what we can chat about here. It either shows our talent for creative writing or our severe desperation for human contact (via text). Mine would be the latter. :'(
