Smashing Pumpkins 1979 video

[CacheMoneyVideo]

I remember watching that video and asking how they did that. I also saw it on Requiem for a Dream...and the cheap way (MTV's Fear). How else is this possible without wearing that stupid plastic helmet they wore on Fear? An inexpensive way i may add. another example would be Janet Jackson's "Go Deep".

[Gary the Llama]

SnorriCam my friend.

Edit: Not inexpensive. Though I'm sure if you Google for "cheap snorricam" or "diy snorricam" you might find something.

There's an Alanis Morrisette video which uses the same technique.

Was that the one where she was naked? :crybaby:

Maybe. But she was bobbing up and down with a strained look on her face. But you could not see below her shoulders. I remember the scene, and wondering what technique they used.

1979 is a GREAT video.

[KOVAROVA]

so anyone know where to find a snorricam?

[CineAlta]

You must travel to Reykjavic, Iceland, or build one.

This is nothing new; Scorsese used a body-mounted camera in "Mean Streets" and John Frankenheimer in "Seconds". Great technique.

Doggicam is basically the same thing:
