Smart rendering of HDV-m2t in Vegas 6c possible?

I am trying to smartrender raw HDV-m2t-files in Vegas 6c using the mpeg2-templates , but it does not work. Vegas always rerenders the m2t instaed of just copying the unaltered files. What am I doing wrong?
 
Nothing is wrong on your part. Vegas has no option for non-recompression at this point in time. This is part of the myriad reasons that editing m2t isn't a good idea. Not just in Vegas, but any application. This is why CineForm is there, why Canopus NX, Apple AIC, Ulead proxy...they're all available for a reason. Editing m2t is simply not a good idea. You can't manage color shift on long GOP, slow for the computer to decode, and 4:2:0 color space are all other reasons.
