I'm supremely interested in this monitor! Everyone let me know ALL the details about it. I'm looking for something with a good amount of accuracy color/exposure wise.

I love my 13" Sony CRT, but it's just getting too hard to lug around anymore. :embarasse

Ultimately the consensus is that it's a really :thumbup: stellar monitor for the price, and I personally have enjoyed every second of using it for the past week or so. The build quality, image quality and adjustability of the monitor are all great and I wouldn't give it up for anything!

I found out about the SmallHD after placing an order for the Ikan 5600 at adorama...but its BACKORDERED! Having them cancel the order till I hear how things shake out for the smallHD. Planning on using it with the 5dmk2, only thing im worried about is being able to pull focus with that pixel density vs the smaller 5.6 on the ikan.

I looked at your photos. Is that a Sony you have that connected to?

I see that you get many of the camera's lcd menu items on the monitor. Do you get to see the camera's peaking and zebra? I use those functions and would hate to lose them by attaching a monitor.

OOPs, just saw the last photo. It is an EX-1. How does the Smallhd work with the EX-1? Do you have any experience with the Manhattan monitor, which is in the same price category?

Would be curious about Zebra display and any other feedback as well.
So far this really looks like a good price to value.

unfortunately the EX1 does not output zebra or peaking through component, but honestly I don't feel as if I need them on such a large screen.

the DP1 works perfectly with the EX1 - I'm VERY impressed!
 
Are these for sale? I checked their website and there is no way to order

Those of you who have them, how did you get them; are they test units?

they should be available later this month for everyone else. those of us who have them pre-ordered last month and received them last week.
