SmallHD battery question

ok so I just go my smallHD DP1x and I have a quick question. In the manual it says that then you charge the battery and the light is green then the battery is 100% charged. So did the batteries came in already 100% charged? I have a shoot tomorrow so I need them to be fully charged. Do I need to plug it in and charge em just in case, even though they seem to be "charged". I just dont want to be charging batteries unnecessary when they are charged.
thx in advance,
Marek

I noticed that leaving the power cord (the cord that bridges the battery to the monitor)

plugged in to the battery seems to keep the battery led on. That would indicate a small draw at the very least.

This does not quite answer your question but it is worth mentioning.

It does leave the battery depleted after a day or two.

So just turning the monitor off isn't enough...unplug the cord from the battery, not just the monitor.

Definitely plug it in and charge both batteries before your shoot. Mine came with one battery partially charged and the other near fully charged. SmallHD told me some of their products shipped with partially charged batteries, weren't necessarily supoosed to, but just charge them up per the instructions and all will be good.

And YES..as Al MacLeod said...be sure to unplug the cable from battery to monitor when not using.
