Small XLR audio recorder

Hello!

Is there a smaller audio recorder than Zoom H5 that has at least 2x XLR inputs and can attach to the camera?
I'm often shooting documentaries on my own and would like to constantly record audio on a separate device. Then I don't miss potentially valuable information on the moments when I'm not filming.

Thank you!

Most dual XLR input recorders are going to be about the same size as an H5. I mount my Tascam DR-100 onto my tripod's pan arm with a rubber electrical clamp and QR plate. I don't like to put a recorder or XLR preamp between the camera and tripod, as it raises the center of gravity.

The Sound Devices MixPre 3 is relatively small with pro features in sound and build. The second generation MixPre II series, offers floating point 32 bit recording, which is good for OMB folks who cannot monitor levels closely. It is more expensive than the Zoom H series recorders.
Off-hand, I am not aware of anything with XLRs that is much smaller than a Tascam DR-40, which is highly regarded by many and has a pair of internal mics, which are good for ambient wild tracks.
