small lcd powered by dvx batteries?

ok i know its out there, i saw one on ebay and it went away before i could check it out.

need a small 5" or so lcd to use with my crane/jib/dolly so i can make sure things are in frame.

image quality isn't the highest priority as i do have a 14" pro monitor on the set.

there was a thread about it on here a while back but i tried search with various keywords and couldn't find it.

i tried a varizoom lcd but #1. its picture is awfully bad, maybe its just me? #2. (maybe should be #1) it has an awfully convuluted set of wires and adaptors. can't just connect the damn battery to the screen, you need an adaptor and you wind up with a rats nest of wires.

looking for simplicity and the dvx batter on the back of an lcd seems pretty simple to me.

Nebtek sells various lcd monitors that can take Panny, Sony, Canon batts.

Popular one here is the Panny 7" lcd w/Panny batt. adaptor.

Nebtek.com is the address.

No affiliation with them.

Re: small lcd powered by dvx batteries?

thank you!

i checked them out and they look really good.

i just got a varizoom lcd but the quality was awfully bad.

plus it has so many dinky little adaptors for everything that you end up with a rats nest of wires around the lcd. has anyone else experienced this??

i'm going to play with it a little bit more but i think the price difference is definitely worth getting the nebtek.
