Those of you familiar with my saga (Buying a camera from an unauthorized dealer on e-bay) know that I got some crappy Digital Optics lenses (wide angle and zoom) with the package.  After months of e-mails and phone calls, I got a refund for them: 75 bucks a piece.  It ain't much, but it's what I asked for.  They are worth whatever you'd pay for a paperweight.

If nothing else I have a great feeling of satisfaction, and the extra $150 bucks will help me buy a 503 head instead of a 501.

Hopefully the check won't bounce...

Jim, that is a monumental victory and a sign that persistence will yield results. Unfortunately it won't stop deception and bad business practice but I commend you on your determination.

It cost me nothing but time and a few bucks in postage. A few thinly veiled threats at litigation helped as well. I just wish I had come to this site first and avoided the problem to begin with.

Umm ...just the ones about the camera though...right? I mean I never let on about my inconveniently placed thrid nipple or anything like that...right?

That doesn't nessicarily mean they're mine, btw.

I'm glad I got a little satisfaction. But I wish there were some way to alert the world about these guys (all of them, not just the ones I dealt with) I start twitching everytime somebody starts a new thread about buying a dvx online for 2700 bucks.

Depends on how drunk you are. In my experience, alcohol can counteract certain laws of physics.

And time and space for that matter. I've traveled into the future and across vast distances (um, I woke up much later in a place I didn't remember going to).
