SLR lenses pumping

Has anyone tested SLR lenses for pumping? I could not find much info on the web. In the past, I often had to fix my footage in post by applying dynamic scaling (magnifying) to compensate for lens pumping when rack focusing. So yesterday I spent some time testing my lenses and was quite surprised with the results - most of my Canon FD prime lenses pump like hell - including:
24 f2.8
28 f2.8
35 f2.0
50 f1.4
85 f1.8
135 f2.0
The biggest surprise was that the 35-105 f3.5 zoom exhibits much less pumping than the primes. And the old breech lock Tokina 135 f2.8 doesn't pump at all!!! Unfortunately its focus ring is so tight that I can't use my follow focus with it...
I wonder how do Nikon lenses behave in terms of pumping...

...Do you mean lens breathing?

All lenses breathe a bit, ive used Arri Ultras that breathe. My canons dont seem too bad. I dont think its much to worry about, its just the optics doing its job..

Do you mean lens breathing?

I meant breathing, of course (bad english). Why don't they call it pumping, btw? ;)

Good to know quality cinema lenses breath (pump ;) ) as well!

I guess because pumping has some erotic connotation in english. ... yeah baby.

The erotic connotation? Maybe it's just the coincidence, but I noticed some girls were very keen on doing pretty crazy things in front of a nice lens (especially when dressed in a big mattebox) :)

Girls dressed in a big mate box? Hmmmm... that's new (and creative)

Must visit Poland (a la Homer Simpson)
