How can I do slow motion in FCP smoothly, without the jerky frame change (which happens when I change time remap to smaller %)?

Shoot at a higher frame rate, then slow it down. Like DVCPRO HD 59.94, converted to 29.97 or 23.98.

No, really, the only think you can really do is Apple-J and try it with and without frame blending...or you can buy SHake or Twistor and After Effects and do it that way.

you can do it in motion as well. deffinatly shoot in 30p or 30i.

Shoot 60i 1/120th shutter and slow down to 40% playback speed in a 24p time line. Aside from the HVX or Sony EX this is the best slow motion you can get out of a cam like the DVX

You also have to seperate the fields and interpilate the other half of each frame.

Well, that's if your software doesn't intelligently do that for you

How do you interpolate the frames?
