Slow motion video but normal audio on HD youtube upload

I'm trying to upload a 52 sec teaser to youtube at 1080p.

its 1920 x 1080 and is using the h.264 codec in Vegas Pro. No Deinterlacing, 23.976fps. 48khz audio.

I used a guide Eugenia wrote to export.

But I've tried 3 times now and the video is in like slow motion, but the audio is normal.

I would try Vimeo, but since I only get 1 HD upload a week, and it takes far longer to get to something watchable there I was trying to test on youtube to make sure the audio levels are fine before going the Vimeo route.

Anyone know how to fix this?

how was it before youtube? (ie. the export from vegas, played on the PC before uploading)

could it be a slow pc / flash playback issue ?

what happens when you try a lower resolution version 1280x720

This is my first time trying to upload anything to youtube in HD rather it be 720 or 1080.

On my pc, as long as I play it in VLC it plays fine. The audio seems out of sync if I try to play it in QT though.. which is odd.

Not really - QT player on windows is known to be problematic

What are your PC specs? 1080p in flash can be very demanding (flash player is very poorly optimized)

What were your input file specs? same 1920x1080p23.976 into vegas ?

By "slo motion" do you mean skipping frames & inconsistent "juddery" playback, or is it a smooth slow motion?

Post your youtube video link for us to check out to make sure it's not your system bogging down on the Flash player playback in your browser.

Does 360P low quality play back just fine in Youtube?
