Slow Motion Sync

I think I'm dumb, because I can't figure this out. If I shoot a music video in 30p, edit on a 24p timeline, and change the playback rate of the 30p clip to 0.8 to get slowed down 24p, will the singing still stay in sync with the audio, like overcranking a film camera? I don't have any footage to work with now, so I can't tell if this works. Can anyone help a brother out?

Oh, and also... if I shoot in 60i and slow it down, are there certain percentages you are supposed to slow it down to to keep the motion smooth? Obviously 50% makes sense, but can you go to any odd number and still get smooth slowmo in 60i?

For 60i, slow to 50% in a 30p or 60i timeline, or to 40% in a 24p timeline.

If you want to do the overcranked/music video effect you'll have to speed up your song so that it plays in 80% of the time that it normally would. Shoot them sync'ing to that version of the song, then put the footage on the timeline, play it back at 80% speed, and substitute in the normal version of the song and I think it'll work.
