I shot 60p HD footage @ 125 shutter, placed in a 30p Vegas timeline/disabled resample on the clip.
If I stretch the clip using the mouse it looks pretty good.
If, instead of stretch I change the clip playback rate to slow it down, the clip becomes incomplete and the part I want to make slow-mo is then inaccessible. If I record a 60p clip while purposefully adding a couple minutes of record time before and after the event to be slow-mo'd, it still won't let me get to the part/whether changing playback rate or using a velocity envelope.
My questions are:
1) Is the stretch method comparable quality and should I even be bothering with the velocity for (just) slow-mo?
2) If velocity is worth it, why is it making parts of the clip inaccessible and is there a fix?
Thanks.
