I'm pretty sure I'm in the right forum here. Long story short, I have been approached to edit a hip hop video for an old friend. They are still in the pre production stages, but what they are interested in doing is shooting a scene in fast motion but having the artist perform in real time or possibly slow motion. Generally speaking, what would be the most appropriate and most professional way to go about this effect if budget is not an issue? Green Screen the artist and then key out the green to be replaced with over cranked (sped up) footage? Also, in the event that they want the artist to be moving through the scene, what would be the best approach? I feel like shooting the talent walk very slowly to a slowed down track and then speeding everything up in post will be more trouble than it's worth, or am I overlooking something here?
