is there any way to make it so when a clip of mine is in slow-mo it doesn't trail the way it does in the riverside clip? I'm using a Canon GL2, vegas 7, and rendering out as MPEG-2, DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen. If any other information is needed i'll reply quickly.

Deinterlace your footage or shoot in progressive mode. If the GL2 doesn't have one, try setting your shutter to 1/30th.

Go to the clip in the timeline, right click to get to the Properties, and "disable resample". While you are at it, always render in "best quality" mode.

Victor, shutter speed and interlacing is not the problem (although of course I also recommend to use "progressive scan" and "interpolation" as the method of de-interlacing in the Project Properties). The real problem is the smart resampling that Vegas uses by default on the clips in the timeline.

Also, make sure your project properties have the right info in them regarding frame rate and size.

yeah everything regarding frame rate and size is correct in my project properties. I also render in 'best quality' every time as well. I'll try the disable resample and see how it turns out.
