Slow Down Text!!!

What is the best way to slow down or speed up text as in scrolls or crawls? I have some text that I want to crawl across the screen but it is moving so quick you can't read it! I tried adjusting the speed to 50% but then the text plays right into the next clip and I need it for one particular clip and that's it.

You need to just grab the tail end of the text clip and move it to where you want the scroll or crawl to end. The amount of text in the clip will determine how much time you need to have it move across the screen. But it's all in the length of the text clip in the timeline.
