Slot machine type effect

So I want to make a slot machine type of effect for an intro.

I want to have close up shots of everyone and have the screen split in 4 like a slot machine and have it be mixed with parts of everyones face and then each part of the screen stops at a part of a specific persons face, which after all 4 sections have stopped it will all match up with the person. Revealing their whole face. This is the best way I can describe it. Basically it's like a slot machine but instead of symbols it's a portion of peoples faces. And the "jackpot" so to say , would be having all the pieces stop revealing the whole face shot of one person.

So I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about this. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!

While i have bult this in photoshop and after effects, I had far better luck actually printing imagery and pasting it on the slot machine's rollers, then giving it a go. I simply printed what I wanted to hit. It was for the show open for Prime Time Country and worked perfectly.
