SloMo Without Motion Blur

Greetings

I am wondering if it is possible to create slow motion without the motion blur?

I have shot some footage in 60i at 1/120 and put it into a 24p timeline in FCP. I played it back at 40% and, while it looks pretty good, there is plenty of motion blur. Can the blur be gotten rid of?

You'll need to increase shutterspeed next time.

1/250 or 1/500 should get rid of a lot of the blur, but 1/500 might be a little excessive.
