Sliders???

I have been looking at different sliders. I really like the looks of the dp slider with the roller bearing carriage. Looks like it should be really smooth. But is it worth the money?

Thanks for the welcome. I have done some reading in that thread but still question if the Igus rail and carriage can be smooth. Maybe my question should be does anyone regret spending the money on the dp slider?

The design of the Igus is intrinsically smoother than anything using revolving wheels against a flat surface.

The Igus type sliders work fine. Zaza has good advice. Regardless of how you do a Igus slider, make sure you have plenty of support. That usually means a tripod at one end and a light stand at the other. Zazas table mount look pretty cool!

You may want to look at this. E-Z Slider Looks similar to the to the DP Slider but lower cost. It looks like it uses the same type of rail.
