Slider option, help!

True, I guess every slider has its use for different purpose... there seems to be no all-purpose slider really... unless you've got more than enough money to spend on one?
So far, Dana dolly seems very attractive to me... but I'm not sure how portable it is or how fast one can set up a dolly. I'll be filming a feature soon and need one but it'll be pretty schedule-&-budget-tight project, so I'll need a fast set up and smooth work.

I know a few friends that uses Dana dolly. It'll be fast set up if you have a few grips.

Any dolly is a fast setup if you have a few grips!

For what it's worth, when we want to move the Dana Dolly about quickly, we use a pair of lowboy stands with wheels added.

When we want to avoid the Dana Dolly setup time and move even more quickly with a light camera setup and a smaller footprint, we use a Kessler Pocket Dolly 2.
