I just watched the Australian sex/art film Sleeping Beauty (wikipedia LINK), a Cannes 2011 competition selection and I wanted to alert my filmmaking peers at dvxuser that it is currently on Netflix instant watch.
Its not for everyone as the subject matter of the film places it in the league of Secretary (LINK) or Sex, Lies and Videotape (LINK) but the acting and directing I found to be amazing and this film received a 'prolonged standing ovation' at Cannes (according to wikipedia) as well as subsequent screenings. Go Australia !! IMO the Aussies knocked the ball out of the park with this one. I f--king loved it.
