slate scene designation question

what do you write on the slate when you go from say a mid shot to a close up? It's the same line and same camera and same scene.. Would it be like

scene:1a - take: 1
scene:1b - take: 1

or would you do something like
scene: 1A ms - take: 1
scene: 1A cu - take: 1

The first one.

Different letter denotes a different cam setup. If you have a script supervisor, or someone keeping track, they will make a note that '1b was a CU from this line to that line'
