Hi guys.

I'm shooting a very long series of instructional video, my budget allows for some good lighting kit.
The talent will be mobile, getting up and down from the floor, but not side to side much.
So my question is this, I was going for a combo of S60c as key and S30c as fill, but due to the fact that the talent will be up and down, do I go with a S120c and centre mount it vertically to throw light in a more up and down way? Will be using a DoP Choice Snap bag with both.

Thanks !

Hi Fish

Whatever the source is, I would put the light through a 4 by 8 frame with diffusion that is oriented vertically! That would give you a much bigger source than either choice. The 120 doesn't have double the output of the 60 as far as I know, so you might as well have 1 or 2 sixties behind the diffusion. (something similar is pictured here, note the flagging as well)

Cheers

That's great info thanks, your right, the 120 and 60 o/p the same, I just wondered if using the 120 vertically it would help throw the light better, I'll do a test run and hire first.
